Al-Amal College for Specialized Medical Sciences Organizes an Awareness Seminar on Human Rights and Duties
As part of its ongoing efforts to promote human rights awareness among students and academic staff, the Human Rights Unit, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Division at Al-Amal College for Specialized Medical Sciences, organized an educational seminar entitled:
"Human Rights and Duties,"
delivered by Mr. Majid Dakhil Ouda Al-Masoudi, with active participation from students and faculty members.
The seminar commenced with welcoming remarks by the college’s Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdul Amir Al-Khafaji, and the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Rafe' Abdul Redha, who both expressed their pleasure in hosting the delegation from the Human Rights Commission in the Holy City of Karbala. They emphasized the importance of promoting a culture of human rights within the academic community and instilling the humanitarian principles that guarantee individual dignity and freedom.
The seminar addressed several key topics, including fundamental concepts of human rights, the responsibilities of individuals towards society and the state, and the vital role of educational institutions in embedding these principles. The session witnessed fruitful interaction from the audience through discussions and questions, enriching the content and adding a practical, awareness-driven dimension.
